How container assembly works in 1–2 days

“I won’t be able to put this together.” We hear it often, and it almost always turns out to be an unnecessary worry. The ContBlox kit is designed to be assembled by two people with basic DIY skills — not builders, just two people who can handle a wrench and a hammer. In this post we walk through assembly step by step, so you know what’s ahead before you order.

What tools you need

Less than you’d think. Basic hand tools are enough:

  • 2 wrenches
  • a hammer
  • 2 ladders

That’s it. No special tools, no heavy machinery, no crane and no construction crew. If you have this in the garage — and most people do — you’re ready.

Step 1: Delivery

We bring the kit to your location. Inside is everything you need to assemble it: structural elements, walls, roof, fasteners and assembly instructions. Nothing to chase around the shops in the middle of the job.

Step 2: Preparing the base

Before you start assembling, you need a flat, firm base. This is the one part worth sorting out in advance, because how level the building stands depends on it. If you don’t have a base yet, give it the time it deserves — it pays off many times over during assembly.

Step 3: Assembly

This is where the bulk of it happens. Two people follow the instructions and assemble the structure, walls and roof. The 3×3 model usually goes up in one day, the 3×6 in two. There’s no rushing and no stage that calls for special expertise — it’s patient, methodical work where each element bolts into its place.

Step 4: Move in

Once the building is assembled, it’s ready to use. From there it’s all down to your wishes — fit-out, connections, interior layout. The key thing is that the structural part, the one that would cost you the most time and money in conventional building, is behind you.

Why self-assembly works at all

There’s no secret — the system is designed in advance so the elements fit together. In conventional building you’re paying for a crew’s knowledge and time; here that knowledge is replaced by a well-prepared kit and clear instructions. That’s exactly why the most expensive line drops out of the price, and why two people can do what looks impossible at first glance.
