ContBlox 3×3 or 3×6: which model is right for you?

Once people decide ContBlox is the right choice, one last question remains: 3×3 or 3×6? Both units are built on the same system and the same quality; they differ in size, and therefore in purpose. In this post we compare them quickly and honestly, so you can pick the right one for you.

In short: the numbers

  • ContBlox 3×3 — approx. 9 m², assembly 2 people 1 day, €3,536 incl. VAT (delivery not included)
  • ContBlox 3×6 — approx. 18 m², assembly 2 people 2 days, €4,410 incl. VAT (delivery not included)

When to choose the 3×3

The 3×3 model is ideal when you need one dedicated space — no more. A garden office for one or two people, a hobby room, a studio, a smaller store for tools. Nine square metres is just right for a desk, a few shelves and comfort, without taking up half the garden or straining the budget disproportionately. If the picture in your head is one desk by a window, this is probably your model.

When to choose the 3×6

The 3×6 model is the one when you need living space or a combination of uses. Eighteen square metres gives enough room for a living area with a sleeping corner — so a weekend place, a holiday unit or a larger workshop. And importantly: it’s the 3×6 that you can expand modularly, place side by side or stack up to three high. If you sense you’ll eventually want more space, the 3×6 is the natural starting point.

Think about tomorrow, not just today

A piece of advice we often give: don’t buy only for your current need — think about what you’ll be doing in two or three years. If the building is a single, clearly defined purpose, the 3×3 is economical and entirely sufficient. But if there’s a chance the office becomes a small studio, or the weekend place becomes something bigger, the 3×6 and modularity save you headaches down the line.

Start with one, add later

The beauty of the system is that the decision isn’t final in a “now or never” sense. You start with one unit, use it, and only when a real need shows up do you add the next. That way you don’t pay up front for space you don’t need yet, and you don’t get trapped in an oversized building.

Still undecided?

That’s completely normal — and this is where we come in. Tell us what you’ll use the building for and where you’re putting it, and we’ll honestly advise which model makes more sense for your situation. Together with a quote and calculated delivery, you’ll have everything you need to decide.
